If you see yourself working for a small, caring and successful agency where you can make a genuine creative impact, then we’d love to speak to you. We’re looking for a multi-talented, adaptable designer to become part of our a team and work with national and international clients across all aspects of brand and design.
You will join our agency of 8 (designers, developers and administration) and share responsibility in all aspects of design. The way we work means that you will have the opportunity to work on every aspect of output, whether it’s brand strategy, website design and UX, print, signage, packaging or anything else our clients might need.
As a small team the most important thing for us is to find a candidate who is a good fit. Because of this we will often shape our offer around a specific person’s skillsets. This means that, while we are looking for rounded designers, we also love people with a specialism. So if you have a particular area of interest, be it UI/UX, brand strategy, animation or creating design systems, let us know – we’d love to hear about it.
As an agency we are looking for people who want to become part of our team on a long term basis, and we reward that by listening to and enacting your vision for our future wherever we can – if you’re into something, we’ll see if we can fit it into the way we work.
We haven’t any of the weight terms – it’s pretty subjective as to what a mid-weight designer actually is. In our experience people either over or under-estimate their own ability. Instead we’ve gone by experience. In an ideal world you’ll have 2+ years experience with real client work, working on projects with multiple stakeholders and facets to the delivery. If you don’t meet these criteria, we still might want to meet you, keep reading for more info…
While this role is for an experienced designer we are always keeping our options open. We’re particularly on the lookout for talented designers/illustrators/photographers/developers/administrators/account handlers/people with skills to add to our books for freelance work. We can’t promise anything, but send us your covering letter and portfolio, along with a CV if you have one and, if we like what we see, we’ll at least add you to our books. If we like you enough we might make a role or internship for you. Just make sure you let us know that you don’t have the required experience for the advertised job.
Venn is a design agency that creates what a brand needs to excel. When creating brands, we consider the whole, and this means strategy, traditional design, digital design and building beautiful and highly functional sites for our clients, in house – with a special interest in working with charities, creative industries and brands willing to be different.
We are collaborative, we listen and we are open. We believe that you can be informal and professional, and are always working hard to create an environment that is fun, inclusive and relaxed. We firmly believe the best work is done by people who get along. It’s our aim to be relaxed, ourselves and honest. We do everything we can to be helpful, avoid red tape and make meetings and interactions informal and enjoyable. Don’t let that fool you – we put everything into hitting deadlines, creating with care and making things to last.

We put our people first, which means doing the right thing by each other as an employer and by our planet as a business.
