Cool Earth

Cool Earth is a charity that’s saving the rainforest by putting it in the hands of the people who rely on its survival for their survival.

Website

The road to the launch of Cool Earth’s website was a long one, made easy by the fact they’re such lovely people to work with.

We started with the fundamentals, an information review looking at the structure of the organisation, and how people’s roles relate to the data and functionality of the site (we used a lot of Post-It notes). Through careful planning, detailed design and considered content we launched a fully content-managed website with a flexibly built design and, in collaboration with Veda, a deep integration with CiviCRM.

The site is WordPress-based, allowing Cool Earth to use their abundant content in a rich, dynamic way. Users can donate, start fundraising campaigns, give regularly through Direct Debit, see news and statistics on the projects you’ve supported on your own personalised dashboard; the site is rich with features.

Information architecture sessions at Trelowarren

Venn are a total breath of fresh air. Web developers that talk plain, jargon-free English. Creatives who relish collaboration.  Strategists who actually want to learn about what you do. Plus they make a great cup of coffee. In fact, I don’t want Venn to get any more clients because I want them all to myself.

Brand

As well as taking care of all things digital, we’ve been working with Cool Earth on gradually refining their brand and creating a lot of their design output. From core guidelines to annual reports, clothing tags to chocolate bars, they’ve been keeping us busy.
